Testing my System Sensor SpectrAlert P241575 horn/strobe. The horn was set to electromechanical temporal code-3(the factory set tone). Please note: This device is an audio/visual warning devide. Even though the camera didn’t pick up every flash if you’ve ever experenced any ill effects from viewing strobes flashing please do not watch. I’m not responsible for any ill effect you experence from this video. with that said enjoy.

Wheelock fire alarm test

Testing my Wheelock 34T-24+WS-24 fire alarm horn/strobe using 2 12 volt lead acid batteries. This horn looks exactly like the 7002T series but the horn and strobe are wired separately giving the horn an uninterrupted sound instead of the infamous skipping the 7002T is known for. NOTE: these are audio and visual devices using flashing strobes. Even though the camera didn’t pick up the strobe flashing very well if you have light sensitive Epilepsy, or if you have any ill effect from viewing flashing strobes please don’t watch this video. I will not be responsible for any ill effects you may experience. with that said enjoy.

fire alarm system demo

a demo of my mini fire alarm system. Devices hooked up are a Fire-Lite MS-4424B alarm control panel, Simplex 4251-20 pull, Simplex 4904-9101 remote strobe (4.5 Cd) and BRK 2824 smoke detector. This demo shows how a fire alarm system is activated by smoke. The beeping you hear is not the smoke detector, it’s the panel’s piezo indicating there’s an alarm condition. I used a burning insense stick to activate the smoke detector. The reason why I blew into it torwards the end was to make sure there was no smoke inside the detector so it would not trigger a false alarm. This system set up is a work in progress. Also what you see here is a privately owned set up, do not attempt on a public system.

Simplex fire alarm test 2

Testing my Simplex 2903+2901-9806 horn/light combo. The flashing at the begining and the end were accidently done by me while hooking and unhooking it to the batteries. The light bulb is basicly a flashlight bulb.

Simplex fire alarm speaker/strobe test 2

Another test of my Simplex 2902-9732 Life Alarm speaker, but this time attached to a 4903-9101 strobe plate (4.5cd), with an actual Simplex voice evacuation signal, and message playing over it. The signal used is slow whoop, which seems to be the standard signal they use. The speaker was powered by the amplifier, a recording was sent from the computer to the amp, and played out of the speaker. The strobe was powered on the battery leads to my Silent Knight 5395 distributed power module, which puts out 24VDC. In an actual fire alarm system all this is controled by a control panel, and a voice evac mod. NOTE: the strobe’s power does cut off briefly do to the relay in the power mod clicking off and on. Also if you have had any ill effects to strobes flashing do not watch. With that said enjoy
