Clip used as part of a training video for this panel. Shows alarm with reset function for this type of panel. As shown, when the system is in alarm, a steady red LED lights up under the zone that the alarm came from (top row, 5th card from the left). The signal pattern is March Time (120 bpm.) The March Time Rate module (green LED in the second row, second card from the left) as well as the yellow LED trouble indicators for the Signal Circuit modules (3rd, 4th and 5th cards from the left on the second row) flash on and off in sync with the horns cycling on and off. The siren at the very end is from the fire panel tripping the security system. This system is at a vocational school and was in another one of my videos (…and comments debating anything about what I have posted regarding this system will be deleted.)

Test of a Simplex 4002 & 4010 fire alarm systems that were just wired together.

Clip while testing signals from a Simplex 2001 and a Simplex 4020 fire panel that are tied together. Some of the old horns are not working properly.
If for some reason you can’t get the video to load, that’s not my problem so don’t bother leaving a comment whining about it.

Another test of my Simplex 2902-9732 Life Alarm speaker, but this time attached to a 4903-9101 strobe plate (4.5cd), with an actual Simplex voice evacuation signal, and message playing over it. The signal used is slow whoop, which seems to be the standard signal they use. The speaker was powered by the amplifier, a recording was sent from the computer to the amp, and played out of the speaker. The strobe was powered on the battery leads to my Silent Knight 5395 distributed power module, which puts out 24VDC. In an actual fire alarm system all this is controled by a control panel, and a voice evac mod. NOTE: the strobe’s power does cut off briefly do to the relay in the power mod clicking off and on. Also if you have had any ill effects to strobes flashing do not watch. With that said enjoy
