Was the California fires a rush to replace homes with insurance money before the housing bust?

California had the most to lose in a housing bust. Why not set fires in various areasa when the winds are up and save the banks? Hmmmmmmmmm.

The insurance companies are probably crying right now, and im sure noone wants to lose their homes in a fire. there are easier ways to save money besides starting national disasters..

    The money has to come from somewhere whether it is from a bank or an insurance company. The fire will be an extra charge on everyone’s insurance bill. With a fire everyone loses.

    You don’t see these people who have lost everything from baby pictures to wedding bands?
    The fires will help the building industry but I’d rather be broke than fried.

    I am sorry but this is a ridiculous question;

    yes they are going to burn down houses, leave people homeless, and even kill a few people (as there have been deaths) just for the insurance money

    California has been having fires as long as I can remember. They were having fires when the news media was proclaiming we were heading to a second ice age.

    I seriously doubt that a business (or more than one) is behind this.

    In spring, it’ll be mudslides.

    There’s a $250,000 reward for the arson-related Santiago Fire. The authorities are looking for someone with a white F-150 truck that was seen in the area. If they find the arsonist — and I pray we will — we’ll let you know.

    There’s a lot of theories out there, why not add this one to the mix. Some 1,700 homes lost, last I looked, and all fires are NOT contained so the toll could grow. Deaths were involved. That’s a murder charge if they resulted from an arson-related fire. People lost irreplaceable items, like photographs and computer hard drives and grandma’s quilt. Insurance can’t reimburse you for the pain and suffering.

    Have you donated money, time or materials to the thousands displaced? Insurance doesn’t cover it all, and if you’ve ever dealt with FEMA, you know that’s an imperfect process, to put it nicely.
