How do forest fires effect the atmosphere?

I’m doing a research project and i basically just need a bulleted list of how forest fires effect our atmosphere!

    Okay I’ll tell you all I know
    -forests/trees give us oxygen
    -if there’s no trees there’s no air
    -photosynthesis (wikipedia or google it)
    -If you’ve seen walle you can tell the earth can sustain no life, and if you notice there’s no trees
    -if there’s smoke everywhere it’s hard for animals to breathe
    Types of gases
    Carbon dioxide
    -cars emmit it
    -cars need oil
    -oil comes from fossils, trees, or other natural products
