Actually Gene Krupa was John Bonhams favorite drummer. he was just inspired by Bernard Purdie’s shuffle so much that he created the now famous “Fool In The Rain” shuffle, FYI Jeff Porcaro also took from the purdie shuffle to create his own in Toto’s “Rosanna”.
