The modern German army doesn't have any fire support elements at company level. The only mortars are 120mm and these are battalion weapons. Grenade launchers, machine guns and AT weapons are all squad and platoon level items. The MG3, out of production for more than 30 years is going the way of the Do Do, being fully replaced by 5.56x45mm weapons.
