Only a ABC fire extinguisher in the cabin (or halon in some aircraft). No detection other than looking for smoke and flames...
References :
For an engine fire, the firewall is made of stainless steel to delay the flames from getting into the passenger compartment.

In the passenger compartment, you may have a portable fire extinguisher similar to those in home use. You also have circuit breakers or fuses that will prevent an overloaded circuit from overheating, preventing a fire. Turning off the master switch also removes electricity from a component that is experiencing an electrical fire...
References :
When you see smoke/flames coming from under the engine cowling, you have a fire. You get out (if on the ground) and grab your fire extinguisher. If you are in the air.....land ASAP and then run like hell.
