the cool part is if we get a call we get to leave school!

Im taking … Im taking FireFighter 1 & 2 Right now. And the States Requirements is Full Turn outs= 1 Minute
Full SCBA while full turnouts on=1 Minute. We do it as two separate parts. So..in theory, everything in under 2 minutes. My fastest was 1:30 with my old gear, including Snap Front closers. Much harder now with newer gear.
Volunteer or Paid … Volunteer or Paid Full time no difference all ar “professional”!!! Only diffence is the pay scale. I can say this as I train both types of departments.
well if he is … well if he is taking FF1 i sure hope he can do it under 1 min 30 secs..if not he will not pass. I just graduated from that class and with our instrutors. If you could not get dressed properly in under 1 min 30 secs there was no way they were letting you into a burning building…so PRACTICE trust me..i dont have a zipper and i can do it in 1 min 15 secs
he did really good. … he did really good. one thing that might help would be if he had everything infront of him in the order it needed to go on, like for example if he had his hood and mask on top of his jacket it would quicken his time so he wouldnt have to walk around as much. ive just started practicing quickdress and that has helped me out a lot.

He just passed FF1, FF2, and Hazmat OPS. He got dressed in 59 seconds flat and graduated at top in the class.
