I used to be pretty bad with heights as well. Now I’m a fireman for the Washington, DC Fire Dept. I’ve climbed the 45 ft bangor ladder, clipped in to the top rung of a 105 ft aerial and hung with no hands, and even climbed to the 4th story of a building with a pompier ladder.(now illegal in the US) You’ll be fine kid. It just takes practice.

    if you start …
if you start college (if i were you start at a community college its cheaper) at age 18, youll be 30 years old which is not bad if you compare going to school at 25 and ending up being 38 years old just starting your dental career. trust me its worth it. when youre 15 youll realize how little time you really have with youre life.

  5. PapaSon85 Says:

    firefighters dont …
firefighters dont make a lot of money compared to everything that they do. be a dentist, 2 year for an associates, 2 for bachelors, then to 4 dental school and maybe 3 to 4 year of orthodontics, 11-12 years of school youll be a bonofide dentist who can have their own clinic making their own work schedule and make bout $120,000 a year (which is a lot of money) is not a bad deal.

  6. PapaSon85 Says:

  7. pe2251 Says:

    plitt23 …
plitt23 unfortunatly heights is something you will deal with at times, and you will be tested for the fear. Saying that you just have to learn to put the fears away, your adrenaline and egerness to help others will take over your fear im sure. If it’s something you want than go for it!!!!!

    the TRUTH
    1) it teaches responsibility, care for someone other than yourself
    2) it IS dangerous, but the adrenaline and natural sense of accomplishment is what keeps anyone going
