Just for interest I may do a new edit of this fire with the original ambient sound and no music. You will get more of a feel of the atmosphere. Also the sound of the oil and chemical drums exploding and the camera shake where the operator jumps every time there is a large bang! Watch this space!

I don’t know how many pumps they made. I will e-mail the Sub Officer in charge of the first attendance to see if he can remember. I would imagine 6 or 8 with relief pumps later. I would have filmed more but it was an early 8mm camcorder and the batteries were flat.
