How do I advance with my voluntary " fire safety program" for students of schools & colleges?

I am a safety advocate by profession.Fire Safety is my main field of activity.People are lacking awareness about fire hazards & consequences therefrom. With a view to create general awareness,i have started a program of fire safety lectures for students of schools & colleges in my locality.Response from teachers & students side are encouraging. But at times,i run short of resources to deliver standard appropriate lecture in time.I have received a module of lecture for students of kindergarten to 8th level from a friendly country but i need more for higher grade students(from 9th to 12th level)& for adding variety to my lectures. There is no other voluntary or non govt.organization to work in this field. We have started it with a mission to ensure "fire safe children" to make my country fire safe for the future. The task is huge,& all types of suggestions will be considered as contribution for a noble cause.

If you want to learn go to school. There are universities that offer degrees in fire safety..such as OSU oklahoma….most are geared toward refineries and life safety/building codes…Or you could check for local college for a class called life/safety-building codes…..

If you just want highlights from a book check out the NFPA..the national fire prevention association…who rate everything from doors to gas cans and certify them for fire REtardedness…..you should be able to get some literature from them…..or talk to your local fire marshall and get involved in the LEPC or local emergency planning committee…or join ASSE…American Society of Safety Engineers…
