A clip from the television series, “The Bravest” which aired in 2001. This movie follows members of FDNY Rescue 2 in Brooklyn for a 10-75 “All hands working with extra truck and engine” for a nasty fire in a brownstone.

    all i know is it is a FDNY suburban that follows the rescue rig or the squad… not entirely sure, but a lot of FDNY houses with engine and truck companies they have the possibility of having a battalion chief ’s car following them. probably a safety thing.

    26 is an extremely busy truck, with a lotta runs, a lot of OSW’s, but I agree, 111, 112 and all those truck companies outta East New York, Bed Stuy, Brownsville etc…man they still see the most work.

    well all heat rises …
    well all heat rises so the theory is that the truck crews cut holes in the roof and break windows to let all the heat and smoke out of the room that is on fire, while the engine crews knock down the fire with water inside…the high powered hose lines put the fire out and push the fire out of the windows and up and out of the roof holes….ventilation makes it easier on the crews inside the fire too

    i’m not sure, maybe it’s the building’s fire alarm or maybe the way they edited the video included sounds of other companies responding in to the box
