@NickWilliam89, the babies wouldn’t have made it through the smoke, and had she called for help to get the kids out of the house from the bystanders, then they would also be put in danger. If the smoke was coming in through and under the door, that means the fire isn’t to far away. The firefighters weren’t there yet and she did what she thought was best.

omg this reminds me of when i was little. we lived in an upstairs apartment, i was 3 and my brothers were 6 and 9 months old. the place cought on fire and my mom dropped us out the window for our neighbors to catch us.i remember it like it was yesterday.happened in 1983 in hammond indiana
