What does it cost to call the fire department?

For a project I am doing I need to find out how much it would cost to call the fire department if it’s a non emergency. Like if you were putting on a performance with Fire in it what would it cost to tell the fire department that the fire was part of the show and not an emergency! I really need to know this fast! Thanks

For non-emergencies in the Uk you would pay the normal call cost to call the Fire Service. This is because it is NOT an emergency. For any call which may be classed as an emergency then the calls in UK are free, using the code 999 or 112. It is 911 in North America. Same rules apply to all of the emergency services. The emergency calls are routed directly through to the control rooms so that they can be dealt with as a matter of urgency. All non-urgent calls have to be separate so that the system is always kept free for the emerncy calls.

Shouldn’t cost anything if you’re calling from a land line phone. You will probably be charged minutes if you call from a cell phone, but the cost depends on what sort of plan you have.
