The home of Ruidoso’s fire department for almost 60 years was torn down, leaving many reminiscing about the historic station.
The fire chief says there was talk about trying to save the building, but in the end it was decided the building would be knocked down.
The original “Ruidoso Fire Department” sign as well as a tree that was planted years ago will be used at the new fire station, which the department moved into last year.
