I live in Madison … I live in Madison County Kentucky and we do this every time we go out. It’s always two of us IC-1 and someone else we stagger red lights and our Eng and Tankers never have to slow down great video man……
I don’t think … I don’t think that’s a fire chief. I believe it’s a deputy patrol car. My department does the same thing for Fire Departments and Ambulance Service.
That was great. … That was great. Though emergencies aren’t something we laugh at, but I like the humor used in this video for some har har.
Cheers to all the great men and women who risk themselves for us. Cheers!!!
Exactly. People … Exactly. People get the “deer in the headlights” syndrome and don’t notice the other emergency vehicles responding. This is why they specifically tell you in any emergency vehicle drivers training (that I’ve had or seen) not to tailgate other units (stay at least 300-500 yards apart) and not to block for other vehicles on roads.
While his heart may … While his heart may have been in the right place, what he did is extremely dangerous. Blocking for other emergency vehicles is not a good idea nor is it encouraged. I’m surprised his department doesn’t have an SOP prohibiting this kind of behavior.
