How can I stop my mains fire alarm from going off?

I have a mains fire alarm that is heat sensitive. It keeps going off during the night when it is cold and we leave the heating on but it keeps going off. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to keep it off?

It’s broken .. get it fixed … if you are renting and the Landlord is not being co-operative, start by ringing him up every time it goes off and move on to calling the Fire Department every time … (when they ask who you are, make sure to give the Landlords name and contact details).

unplug it. usually a little white connector.

Probably completely invalidates your tenancy/house insurance ;)
