The fire alarm was placed where it wasnt supposed to be before we lived here and it goes off every single day because it was placed improperly. Im wondering if our hearing will be affected by it as it hurts my ears terribly every day.
If it is placed right up against your ears, but otherwise, no, ear and head pain from loud noise is normal. Get the issue worked out one way or another (destroy it).

Any exposure to loud noise can affect a person’s hearing over time. My suggestion is to disarm the alarm and buy some battery operated smoke detectors and place them in the correct locations. Your family will still be safe. If you recently bought the home and you had a home inspection, then you should contact your agent to see what can be done. We had a problem with our first house that was not uncovered until we actually took ownership and moved in, and we were able to get our money back from the home inspection and some money from the sellers, too. We used that money to fix the problem. I hope that helps!
