Ronald Jenkees – Throwing Fire

Throwing Fire is on my 2nd CD, Disorganized Fun: https://www.ronaldjenkees.com/mp3-store/

SUPER FUN TIME WITH THIS JAM!!!! Thanks a lot for watching! Hope you liked it. Kindof a rough cut, but it’s always fun.

This video is dedicated to the band Papa Roach for letting me check out their studio and giving me a place to stay in LA. Those are some hard-working rockers and good guys. I got cold chills listening to the songs they’re working on for their new album. I think it’s coming out really soon.

My friend Sam gave me the hat I’m wearing in this vid. It’s made of 100% recycled material. Can’t beat that. Here’s their site: http://www.livity.org

I’m using FL Studio software to make the beat in the background and a Korg Triton Le keyboard on top, Motif XS8 on bottom.

How do you get a fire extinguisher tested?

Posted by admin on May 5th, 2010 and filed under fire | 6 Comments »

I need to have someone come into my business and check to see if the fire extinguishers are working. Who can I call? Does the fire department do these types of visits?

Any fire extinguisher company can do it for you. Look under fire extinguishers – service in your yellow pages.

Depending on how many you have it may be a little bit less to take them in to be checked to a fire extinguisher service center. Just remember not to have your business "open" while you take out all it’s fire extinguishers!

How is it possible to fire a 38 round from a 357 mag pistol?

Posted by admin on May 2nd, 2010 and filed under fire | 15 Comments »

Everyone says that you can fire any 38 cartridge from a 357 mag gun, but not the other way around. My question is: WTF? I always thought calibers represented diameter in inches. In other words, a 38 is 0.38 inches in diameter, and a 357 is 0.357 inches in diameter. Those are close but not at all the same thing, so why does everyone say you can fire the 38 round in a 357 gun?? Seems like it would be too wide and would cause catastrophic damage to your gun and perhaps your self. What am i misunderstanding here?

Believe it or not, the 38 Special and the 357 Magnum are the same caliber, and fire a .358 diameter bullet.

Allegedly, the "38" refers to the outside diameter of the neck of the brass casing, which is 0.379 if I recall correctly.

A 38 special round is essentially a 357 Magnum round where the brass casing has been shortened a bit. As it is shorter, the 38 Special round will fit in the chamber meant for a 357 Magnum round.

Since the 357 Magnum round is longer, a 357 Magnum round will NOT fit in a chamber that was made for the 38 Special.

Your thought process is correct. The 38 Special just has a name with a unique origin. It does not refer to the bullet diameter.

EDIT: Randy C: Just an FYI, there was a semi-automatic 357 magnum pistol based on the M1911 (I’ve never seen one, just heard of them). I do not think it was popular and I don’t think it was mass produced. It was made by Coonan Arms. Here is a link showing them:

How can I start a fire with chemicals?

Posted by admin on April 30th, 2010 and filed under fire | 2 Comments »

I was at a meeting last year and some people were talking about starting a camp fire with two chemicals. One was a liquid in a cup, and the other was a powder suspended above the liquid and then dropped in which then created a reaction starting a fire. I’d like to do the same "trick", can you help?

Although this fire making technique is not primitive technology, it is worth mentioning in terms of survival skills. Fire can be produce by chemical reaction using potassium permanganate mixed with antifreeze from a car radiator or glycerin. Potassium permanganate used to be found in first aid kits and was utilized as a mild antiseptic. Adding a few drops of antifreeze or glycerin to potassium permanganate will cause the mixture to instantaneously burst into flames.
CAUTION: If the chemical reaction is not successful, do not neglect the mixture because it may start to burn. Always dispose of any unsuccessful attempts by burying the mixture with sand and dirt, then pouring water on the spot. Bury any flammable materials that have been in contact with the chemicals. Also pour water on the buried materials.

Is it possible to make fire by rubbing your bare hands together?

Posted by admin on April 28th, 2010 and filed under fire | 5 Comments »

Because if I rub them, there is friction so it produces heat. Heat makes fire. If I succesfully (or accidentally) make fire with that method, how could I extinguish it? Seems a great expirement but it could kill or harm people other than yourself.

Just think about it for a moment.
Your hands consist of living flesh. You might, only if you are able to ignore the pain, be able to raise a blister or get your hands to bleed.

If you were insane enough to try the experiment using the hands of a freshly dead person you could rub them down to the bone but the water content would prevent you from reaching ignition temperature. You could continue rubbing the bones together until they were completely dry but even then it takes a lot of heat to get bone to ignite. I can’t actually concieve of any person being capable of producing the necessary work rate to reach such a temperature even with totally dry bones.

How do I go about removing a gas fire and replace with a log burner and how much will it cost?

Posted by admin on April 26th, 2010 and filed under fire | 5 Comments »

We are looking to remove an existing gas fire, We are not on the mains but use bottled gas for the fire and also our central heating. We then want to replace with a log burner which we already have. How do we go about it and how much will it cost. I would guess that the fire place will need opening up and swept but that is as much as I know. Any help would be appreciated.

You will need a chimney liner fitted into the existing stack and this could cost as much as £800 to fit. If you use it without a liner you will get a build up of tar that can cause a chimney fire. If you decide to go ahead I would get three quotes, or you can do it yourself for about £90 if you don’t mind heights!!

Has a third underground city fire happened yet, just like the Vancouver and Baltimore fires?

Posted by admin on April 24th, 2010 and filed under fire | 1 Comment »

I was just wondering if a third city has recently ( in the past few days ) had an underground city fire. Just like Baltimore and Vancouver, recently had.

I don’t know, but their probably will be another one. Lately, weird things have been happening in 3’s. Crane crashes, Missing military wives, & semi tanker crashes.

I just hope it’s not some kind of Flase Flag operation. So they can wire those cities with what ever weapon/weapons they want.
